Mario Garcia is accused of killing Christie Wilson in October 2005.

On the stand in Sacramento Monday morning, Garcia faced meticulous cross-examination from prosecutors for more than an hour.

The lead prosecutor asked Garcia about his interaction with Wilson in the Thunder Valley parking lot, specifically where Wilson was headed, how far she got, and if they were hugging.

Garcia appeared calm and collected as he answered the questions.

The prosecution also asked Garcia if had any explanation as to how Wilson's DNA got on the door of his car or how his blood and Wilson's DNA got on the car's back seat.

Garcia said he didn't know.

The prosecutor also noted that Garcia had spent time looking up penal codes and other legal information on his laptop computer, insinuating that Garcia was researching whether he or his wife and son would have to testify.
